Pretty in Plaid

plaid sweater dress, fall outfit, fall style, asos plaid turtleneck dress, dark green dress, tan suede booties, sole society, ASOS, Vera Bradley, quilted leather satchel, black floppy hat, winter outfit, trends for fall, fashion blogger, raleigh, north carolina bloggerI’ve always been drawn to plaid and checkered patterns for some reason.  I think its because I associate the classic pattern with fall and winter, which makes me think of the holidays, which makes me think of home and family.  Anybody else?  This green plaid turtleneck dress sortof reminds me of a wrapped up Christmas gift! Anyways, I absolutely love it.

Isn’t this plaid turtleneck dress the perfect dress to welcome fall? I can definitely see myself wearing this to work too, maybe with some tights in the winter.  This weekend, I decided to make it a little more casual with my tan suede booties. These exact booties were for available last fall too so you know they’re never going out of style.
Who else is over this rain?  I cannot wait until the next sunny weekend! I’ve been trying to plan a day to go out on the lake near my new apartment.  You can rent paddleboats, kayaks, etc.  I’m hoping next  weekend will be nice.  Also, I’ve come to the conclusion that having a fashion blog comes with learning how to be an intense weather watcher.  I had my rain radar map pulled up all Saturday strategically planning when photos could be taken.
Hope you all have a great week!  If you don’t have plans this Thursday night and are in the Raleigh area, you should come to Belk at Crabtree Valley Mall! I’ll be there with French Connection for a Girl’s Night Out event.  I’ll share more details about that later this week.
Thanks for reading PITP!
