This is my first post of 2016 and I have to say, I am excited for a new and exciting year ahead. I was looking back at last year’s New Year’s post and I was happy to see how much I stuck to my “resolutions”. Another fun idea of goal setting you might like — 101 in 1001.
Anyways, I wanted Pretty in the Pine’s first post of the year to incorporate this fabulous faux fur coat and a stunning navy blue short-sleeved velvet dress! I like to think this outfit exemplifies the style of this blog- classic yet chic.

I can’t believe the holidays are over. It’s kind of sad how fast the season flew by and I can’t say I am 100% ready to go back to work! My last couple weeks were FILLED with family, kids, lots of kids, friend time, and food, a lot of food. I do need to hop on a serious workout regimen though and am hoping today will be the day.
I have a few more things to say about this outfit though. If you’re looking for a dressy coat for the winter that is light and perfect for glamming up an outfit- this white faux fur coat is it. It’s another piece I found at my one of my favorite online shops, Chicwish. This place seriously has the most unique yet classic options. My favorite sweater I own is also from there. I’ve also been on a hunt for a classy and cute velvet shift dress and I finally found the one! I love these two colors for winter too… navy and white together remind me of a snowy winter night and it is sure starting to feel like winter finally.
