Vera Bradley’s latest campaign is called “Its Good to Be a Girl” and if you’ve followed me for a while, you might know that I’m a fan of VB’s bags. I love how they started offering more neutral bag options in addition to their classic printed bags. If you look online, you might find the hashtag #itsgoodtobeagirl and you’ll find endless reasons why women around the world think it is so special to be a woman! When Vera Bradley asked me to share my answer to why I believe #itsgoodtobeagirl, I didn’t quite know how to even narrow down all of the reasons. They’re several reasons why… where would I even start?
Although there are certainly some tough parts of being a woman, it is far outweighed with the best parts – the ability to empower other women as well as be inspired and supported by a sisterhood community, having all of the rights we have today who women before us fought for, being able to surprise others with how fearless you are and how much you can accomplish on your own, and having so much room for creativity when it comes to style (accessories, fashion, make-up, etc)! Oh, and how about the fact that we can bring life into this world?! I challenge you all (ladies) to think about why it’s so great to be a girl!
