Fitness Friday: Two Activewear Must Haves

Happy Friday, y’all!

As we get closer to our wedding date, it only makes sense for my blog to reflect what I’m focusing on in real life (or lack of blog posts haha). There is only so much time in the day so I’ve really had to sit back and figure out how I’m going to prioritize my time leading up to our big day. During the next few months, I am going to focus the majority of my time preparing for our wedding day and our marriage, enjoy my favorite season as much as possible, and continue to share the journey here as much as I can.

For as long as I can remember, I have always been low key interested in fitness. I actually majored in human biology and minored in nutrition because I wanted to learn so much about health. Although I am definitely not an expert by any means, I have figured out what works for me. I love finding workout programs that are quick, efficient, good for the mind and focuses on toning. Again, back to the ‘time is valuable’ mantra, ain’t nobody got time for never-ending workouts and I’m glad I’ve found a few workouts that get the job done quickly. Today, I’m sharing some recent workout outfits and, next week, I’ll go into more detail about which workouts I’ve been sticking to.

Over the next two months, I’m going to try and stick to a workout routine to help me look and feel my best on our wedding day! My routine will be made up of a variety of different workouts I love. Each Friday I’ll give a little update on the progress and maybe even some cute new workout gear. There is so much more than just the ‘physical’ benefits for me though. In fact, on days that I don’t find time to be active, my brain gets in a serious funk and I get in a sluggish, bad mood.

Now that spring is here (YAY), my motivation is at an all-time high and I actually feel like going down to the gym or going on long walks outside. I’ve also purchased a few new workout items that I wanted to share with y’all.

These Onzie mesh black leggings are, by far, the best workout leggings I have ever worn. It actually is shocking that they are under $60 so, naturally, I also purchased the matching cropped top.

Another activewear brand I have been loving lately is Outdoor Voices. Their leggings are much pricier than the Onzie ones but they come in the prettiest colors (also with matching tops). The material is definitely thicker and less stretchy than the Onzie ones. Between the two, I would suggest the Onzie mesh leggings. They honestly just can’t be beat. If you beg to differ, leave me a comment below with your favorite workout leggings!

XO, Shelby
