Saturday’s Are For…

What is your favorite day of the week? Saturday will forever remain my favorite day of the week and I think most people would agree. I have my ideal Saturday and Sunday scenarios, especially during this time of year. My favorite type of Saturday is spending time outside, exploring local areas with my husband, and trying new things. A few Saturday’s back, TJ and I had the opportunity to cruise around in the newest Jaguar F-Type from Jaguar Cary for the day. When I first saw this car, I was really excited because I had never even driven a convertible before. I honestly can’t even remember a time when I’ve ridden in someone else’s convertible so I knew this was going to be so much fun. It was 80 degrees, sunny, and the perfect day to drive off to get some lunch at a restaurant we’ve never tried before.

One of our go-to weekend spots to eat is Cameron Village; although, this time we decided to try out Tazza Kitchen, a restaurant that neither of us had been to! My friend, Betsy, lives over in Cameron Village and is a frequent customer, always raving about the food, so I was excited to try it out for the first time. I was surprised to hear that the food was inspired by the ‘Baja countryside’ and the Italian coast (and many spots in between). I can’t think of any better combination, really. TJ and I ordered a white pizza and guacamole/chips/salsa (some of the best I’ve ever had). Both were so delicious and we cannot wait to go back! I think the best part about the restaurant (well, other than the food) was the outdoor dining area set underneath cafe lights and blue umbrellas. It is one of my favorite times of year to eat outside and Tazza’s patio did not disappoint. Another plus? You can order online! Next time, I have to try their ‘gelato & cake’ on the menu for dessert (does salted caramel gelato and almond/orange flourless cake together not sound like the best combination!?!).

Back to this insanely cool car though… The F-Type is is Jaguar’s true sports car. It took me a little while to get used to there not being a back seat but, by the end of the day, I was loving driving it. It was so much fun and although I might not be an orange sports car convertible type of person every day, I was that day! I really wish I could drive that car every Saturday. The interior was beautiful and the performance was top notch.

I think it’s important to keep life interesting and keep trying new things, whether that is just trying out a new restaurant down the road or cruising down the highway in a convertible with the top down. Sometimes life can feel repetitive doing the same thing each day but if you make adventure and trying new things a priority, life is anything but!

Thank you to Cameron Village and Jaguar Cary for sponsoring this post.

Outfits Lately

Cuffed Ribbed Sweater || Distressed High Rise Levi’s (best weekend casual jeans ever) || Floral Reversible Scarf || Ankle Booties (see more Sam Edelman booties here)

If you follow my instagram, you’ve probably seen these lately. Not everyone uses that app so I thought I’d compile my latest outfits I’ve been loving, especially because it is actually starting to feel like fall now. On a side note, I feel like I’ve semi-neglected the blog a bit lately simply due to life. I’m usually in a mood for planning posts months in advance but, lately, it just feels like I’m in a season of unknowns… unsure of where we’ll be living in a couple of months, unsure of where to focus my time and energy, and this past month was full of wedding celebrations and birthdays which left little time outside of work. I’m honestly just trying to figure out how to manage my time and attention lately. I still haven’t gotten back into the fitness routine completely since the wedding so TJ and I are determined the make it to a weight-training class tonight. We’ll see how that goes! My older sister recommended this book so I started reading that last night too!

Denim Shorts for Fall

I know it is October but the weather has felt semi-summery lately… especially with the humidity in NC. My solution (outside of work)? A dark pair of fall-appropriate denim shorts and an open cardigan you can layer with. These particular Agolde Denim Shorts have been one of my favorite late summer/early fall finds and I love wearing these on the weekend. The cardigan comes in several color options and each one looks perfect paired with this gingham blouse. Just an all around great outfit combo if you ask me.

I am SO ready for the weekend. I’ll be celebrating one of my good friends’ 30th birthdays, doing some apartment organization, and finding a good chili recipe to try out!

Patchwork Sweater

We’re back home from a weekend in Asheville celebrating one of my best friends’ weddings and it was such a beautiful weekend all around! If I wasn’t already in the fall mood, visiting the mountains really got me excited for fall sweaters like this beautiful neutral patchwork one I found at Bevello the other day. I know I’ve mentioned this before but one of my favorite places to shop locally lately is Bevello. I also recently discovered that Bevello has free shipping and free returns for online orders and it isn’t a secret that I prefer to shop online whenever possible. I also picked up these $18 tassel earrings (available in several colors) and I’ll be wearing these on repeat!

TJ and I had booked a trip to the Pacific Northwest for later this week but decided last week that it was best if we cancel it until next year. We’re hoping to buy a house by the end of this year and figured the timing wasn’t best. We haven’t even officially begun this house buying process and it already is intimidating. I can’t wait though! Anyways, I am looking forward to many fall weekends around my town this year.

Hope y’all have a great week!

Maxi Skirt Under $40

I’m just stopping in quickly today to share a cute & comfortable outfit idea to transition out of the warmer temps! Don’t you just love the ease of lightweight sweater tucked into a maxi skirt? This is an outfit I can get behind summer, spring, and fall, even with a pair of your favorite every-day booties. I’ve worn these booties 500 times and promise you that they are the best! (close to $100 too and come in so many colors).

This particular maxi skirt runs a little bit large (order a size down) but I’ve linked a few other maxi skirts I’m LOVING for fall.

Happy start to the weekend! I’m headed to Asheville for one of my best friend’s weddings and I am so excited!

One Fall Trend I’m Loving

I love fall fashion. There is nothing I love to wear more than a comfortable oversized sweater. Lately, I’ve especially loved seeing cropped sweaters layered over dresses. This combo results in a very “effortlessly chic” look, in my opinion. This past weekend I stopped by Madison in Cameron Village to see what new fall arrivals they had and fell in love with this beautiful charcoal-colored cropped turtleneck sweater! Madison also had a great selection of dresses so I picked up this navy blue tie-neck dress (available in stores) which I’m thinking about wearing to a rehearsal dinner next weekend! I had a hard time deciding between the blue dress or this ruffle sleeve dark green one. To top off this look, I threw on my grey over-the-knee boots from last year… such a comfortable yet chic fall look! You can really always count on Madison to be up to date on all of the latest trends (and their color-coded organization method is super helpful… I love it)!

Outfit Details:

Annita Boxy Pullover from Madison || Navy Long Sleeve Bow Neck Dress from Madison || Grey Over the Knee Boots (similar) || Grey Leather Tote

Grey OTK Boots:

I hope everyone had a great fall weekend! On Friday night, we celebrated my birthday with some of my best friends at Bond Brothers Brewery in downtown Cary. We sat out by the big oak tree and took our dog, Colbie, a huge picnic blanket, chairs, and just enjoyed the perfect fall weather! On Saturday, TJ and I actually went to look at this house we saw for sale online. We weren’t planning on starting the home buying process until a little later but this house just had to be seen! We ended up just looking at it but, who knows what will happen in these next few months as our apartment lease ends at the end of December.

Thanks so much for stopping by and reading!

My Nightly Routine

Thank you to Quaker Oats for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

I’ll be honest, my nightly “routine” isn’t always a routine. Some days I’ll come home from work and have 10 different things to do before I even consider getting ready for bed but, for the most part, I do have a few things that I do before I go to bed 99% of the time in order to prepare mentally and physically for the following day.

First things first… after I am done with work for the night, I start my evening by lighting my favorite candle to help get me in a relaxed state of mind. This time of year has the best candles. After that, I begin my nightly skincare regimen (which I’ll be sharing next week). Basically, I start with cleansing balm then move to cleanser and follow up with my favorite toner and moisturizer. Occasionally, if I’m in the mood for some extra pampering, I’ll follow up a face mask! I definitely dedicate a decent amount of time each night toward my skin. I’ve never had great skin so it takes some extra effort for me!

Lately, I’ve been on a raspberry sorbet kick for dessert so I’ll typically have a small bowl of that before starting my prep for the following day. If there is a good tv show on that night, I’ll watch 30 minutes or so of that. All of the good shows are about to start back up so we’ll see which ones I continue!

To help save major time in the morning, I’ll typically pack up my lunch the night before and plan my breakfast for the morning. Lately, I’ve been so busy each morning and night that I’ve been sticking to an easier breakfast choice. I’ve told you all before that I’m a fan of Quaker. I would always have a bowl of Quaker oatmeal in college after I quickly realized the dining hall breakfast buffet might not be the best option. Quaker recently launched their new Overnight Oats and I am loving the convenience of these individual single-serve containers. Each one contains 100% whole grain oats (+other grains) and have no artificial flavors or added colors! At night, I just add my dairy or non-dairy milk of choice – I like almond milk – to the container’s fill line and let it cold steep overnight in the refrigerator. In the morning, I simply open the fridge and enjoy a cool and hearty breakfast option! Hassle to hustle, yall… one less thing to do in the morning!

After I prep for my breakfast and lunch, I usually spend some time reflecting on the day and what I have coming up the next day. I’ll make a quick list of 3-4 priorities for that following day in my notes on my phone to help me clear my mind. TJ and I always spend some time talking and reading before bed.

Thankfully, I fall asleep pretty quickly which is good because I usually need at least 7-8 hours of sleep to feel good the next day. That’s about it though for my nightly routine! These steps definitely help me prepare mentally and physically for the following day and I’m always trying to find tips on saving time each day so, if you have any suggestions of your own routine, let me know in the comments!

Color Crush + Shopbop SALE!

Today is an exciting day because: 1) Shopbop (one of my favorite places to shop, especially for shoes) is having a 20% off sale, 2) we’ve made it to the middle of the week (this week/month has been #extra as the kids say these days… can a month be “extra?”), and 3) it’s my birthday. This birthday is super cool though because not only is it my golden birthday but it is legitimately my favorite # in the world. Do you have a re-occuring number or re-occuring symbol/anything in your life that is associated with just good stuff? That is the #27 for me.

Anyways, I went on a tangent but I’m mainly here to talk about the exciting Shopbop sale and a beautiful fall color I’ve been crushing on. Lately, I can’t get enough of beautiful dark shades of green… forest green, hunter green, you know what I’m talking about. Cardigans, jackets, tops, shoes… ah, it is just so beautiful and so “fall”. If you scroll down below, you’ll find that I’ve listed a few of my favorite Shopbop finds in that color palette.

Wedding Wednesday: Save or Splurge

Incase you missed it, I shared some of our wedding photos and our wedding video last week! Heart Stone Films and Jake + Heather killed it. I love them. With the wedding planning behind us, TJ and I have definitely had conversations on what we loved most, the vendors and resources we were so glad we splurged on, and the things that we probably could have done without or have saved on. Our wedding was everything we could have imagined and we wouldn’t change much of anything but weddings can be a very big investment so it’s important to consider what is worth saving on. Everybody has their own opinions and their own budgets but now that we’ve been through the planning process, hopefully this list will help any other brides out there who may be questioning to themselves “Should I invest in this or that!?” or “Do I need to add this to my ceremony or will our guests even notice?”.

INVESTMENTS WE FOUND TO BE WORTH IT

Since June, my one piece of planning advice for brides has always been “focus on what will be remembered and enjoyed” which brings me to a few wedding investments we were glad we included.

Photography and Cinematography: The first wedding vendors we ever reached out to were for photography and videography. Wedding days fly by so it was important for us to be able to look back at the moments captured on camera and video. We used Jake and Heather for photography and Heart Stone Films for cinematography. Photography is pretty much a necessity for weddings but I always hear brides go back and forth between hiring a videographer or not. Our video is honestly one of the best investments EVER. Not only do we have a short film of our entire day, but we also will be able to watch the entire speeches made by our family/friends, our entire ceremony, our first dances, and more. There is nothing like a video to take you back to a moment in time and I am SO thankful we were able to make a videographer work. If you’re “camera shy”on video, wedding videographers make it so that you don’t even realize you’re being filmed so that isn’t an issue at all. I know videographers can be a big investment but, if you can make it work, I highly recommend finding one! If not, see if one of your family members or friends knows how to create videos, and see if they’d be willing to make one of the day! I’ve seen some really great iPhone and GoPro ones made by friends of brides.

Live Music (Steel Toe Stiletto): Band or DJ… that is the question a lot of couples have a tough time deciding on and is a huge price difference, typically. It was never really a question for us (okay, it wasn’t a question for me) although DJ’s can be super fun too! The second or third thing we booked after we were engaged was our band, Steel Toe Stiletto. We knew we wanted our wedding to be outside and something about being outside just goes really well with live music. When searching online for bands in South Carolina, I came across the website for Steel Toe Stiletto and their videos on their site blew me away. I couldn’t not dance when I watched or listened to them. The number one thing our guests still talk about is how amazing the band was and I know that they played a huge role in how much fun our wedding was for us and our guests.. Steel Toe Stiletto allowed us to really personalize their list of songs to play and were super responsive when we had questions throughout the planning process.

Another thing to note: Live music can be enjoyable for all guests, even for those who don’t necessarily like to dance. It’s pure entertainment, almost like being at a show, so the guests who didn’t dance were also able to enjoy it all! Each person who played or sang was phenomenal and they played a big variety of popular songs!

Wedding Coordinator: Wedding coordinators/planners usually offer different size packages depending on when you want them to come in and start helping. Usually, there is full, partial, or day of/month of planning. I think TJ and I decided to do a more “partial planning” package starting several months out with Stephanie Shaul Events. Stephanie and her team allowed us to genuinely enjoy that day and not worry about a thing so that we could spend the time soaking in every moment of joy with our family and friends. Some venues actually required a planner (like ours) but even if they didn’t, I would 10000% recommend hiring a wedding coordinator to help with anything that you might need help with! Stephanie was very detail oriented and sent me checklists and reminders of all of these small things that I never even thought of, especially in the weeks leading up to it. The morning of the wedding I felt SO relaxed and didn’t worry once all day.

Food: Our food was actually from one of the more affordable options in town but, once I saw they had endless 5 star reviews, I knew Crazy Dutchman Catering was the way to go. Food, no matter who you go with, will likely be a big chunk of your budget… so make sure it is delicious! For us, having “pretty food” was not as important as having delicious food. I mean, you can get real fancy in Charleston but we stuck with the more casual options. We had ALL the carbs and southern goodness.

WHAT WE ARE GLAD WE SAVED ON:

Ceremony Decor: In the days leading up to our wedding day, I asked myself numerous times “does our ceremony have enough flowers?” or “should we have gotten a floral arch?” or “is our ceremony going to be too plain?” but I am SO glad we didn’t spend a ton of money on our ceremony decor. Our ceremony was in a beautiful outdoor setting so it didn’t need a lot at all and nobody is going to be paying attention to those types of things during this time. The ceremony is the meaning behind the wedding and should simply be focused on love. Actually, if I could go back in time, I would have gone with literally no florals for the ceremony (besides bouquets because I loved ours so much), no chandelier, not even the little flowers that hang on the sides of the aisles, no decor except for the welcome sign (thanks Oaks and Gray!).

One Signature Drink/Wine/Beer v. Full Bar: We were going to go with beer/wine (which we did) but there were a few times when we thought we should offer liquor. We ultimately went with just beer/wine but added one, very affordable, signature cocktail. We had a lemonade/blueberry vodka drink infused with mint as our “Colberson Cocktail” (named after our dog) and those things were sucked down. We’re so happy we had just that instead of offering all sorts of liquor.

Shoes: For someone who loves shoes so much, I surprised myself with not being interested in fancy shoes for the wedding. I just ordered this $59 pair and called it a day. Nobody even saw them, really. We had to cut costs somewhere and shoes were one of those cuts for me!

Favors: This was another thing that, of course, if I had an extra couple thousand dollars, I would have loved to create favors for each guest. I almost went with a local Charleston candle company but, in the end, we decided to do a simple late night snack instead and provided sweet potato ham biscuits at the very end of the night. This saved a LOT of money.

Ceremony Music: This is just my opinion, but I think personal songs that evoke emotion and songs that are meaningful to the couple are much more romantic than the sound of any live string quartet. Hire a DJ and sift through Spotify to find some good ceremony songs or maybe even instrumental versions of songs you love as a couple. This will save you money and probably cause a lot of waterworks for your guests (and groom!!).

WHAT WE PROBABLY COULD HAVE SAVED ON:

Vintage Getaway Car: Chances are it’ll be dark when you leave your reception and nobody will really see or care what car you are leaving in, unless it is a personal/family car/boat that is special to you. The man who drove us back safely was wonderful though and, if you are determined to have a vintage getaway car, I’d recommend Lowcountry Valet (if you’re planning in Charleston).

Rentals/Furniture: The furniture and rentals we selected were beautiful but I would recommend choosing just a couple of “must have” items and, for the rest, go with a lower cost option. Of course, everything pulls together the design of the wedding but we probably could have chosen a less pretty bar along with some of the other pieces.

Dress: I LOVED my dress; however, after our ceremony, I changed into a gown just as beautiful and less than half the price and was way more comfortable. I would highly recommend taking a look at BHLDN for beautiful, unique, and affordable options if you are wanting to put your money elsewhere. It is important for you to feel beautiful on your wedding day but you can definitely feel that way without spending thousands of dollars on a dress that will probably get really dirty by the end of the night. Again, this is just my opinion, and for some reason, I didn’t want the dress to account for a big part of our budget.

Programs: Looking back now, I probably would have done a big sign/mirror including a quick run-down of the ceremony rather than order programs. A lot of our guests shared programs which resulted in a lot of leftovers to take home and it would have saved a decent amount of money had we just used a sign for everyone to look at as they are being seated.

These are all of my personal thoughts about the wedding investments we made but I know each person is totally different! If you are a bride with a budget, hopefully these thoughts help put some things into perspective for you. Our day was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful and joyful day. For the most part, we were really happy with how our budget was spent. Let me know if you have any questions at all! Thanks for reading!

SIX Skirts for Fall

Well, fall officially starts this week! I feel like it was just yesterday when we got married and that was technically in the spring! By the way, I posted all about our wedding day last week so you can read that here. Anyways, fall is an exciting time… I’ve been burning my fall candles for about a month already though so, in my head, it has already been fall. Plus, I’ve been wearing sweaters since August but only because it is -2 degrees in my office. When I think of this time of year, I think: fall candles, sweaters, booties, pumpkin muffins from Trader Joe’s, crisp air, football every weekend. There are just so many fall things to get excited about! One thing I haven’t mentioned in a while? Fall skirts! I love a good fall skirt paired with a sweater and my all-time favorite booties.

I’ve searched the internet for my 6 favorite skirts for fall (a couple of these I have already ordered and can’t wait to wear) so I’d love to know which one is your favorite! I also found this grey cardigan the other day in stores and I’ve been throwing it over almost everything to work each day and on the weekends. Can you believe it is $17?!

I hope you all had a great weekend! I went to the beach for one of my best friend’s bachelorette weekends and it was a lot of fun! We went on a boat ride, spent time on the beach, ate sushi, and stayed in an awesome house right next to the beach. Visiting the beach in September is really a special thing – less crowds and you can’t beat the weather!

Nude Lips for Fall at Belk’s Beauty Event

I’m so excited to fill you all in on a fun beauty event happening at your local Belk! Belk is hosting their B. E. (beauty event) in stores now until September 24th and I’m here to give you all the results of my search for the perfect nude-lip color! Nude lips for fall is a beauty trend I am loving and it was about time I make a few updates to my beauty products so, this time, I decided to go for a color I typically haven’t gravitated toward in the past. This search for a new nude-lip shade was easier than I expected with all of the brands that Belk offers including Urban Decay, MAC, Bobbi Brown, NYX, Lancome and more. My two all-time favorite lipsticks are by Urban Decay and Mac but I wanted to try out something new so I headed to the counter at Bobbi Brown and followed up with a stop at MAC.

Let’s start with my finds at MAC. First of all, I quickly learned that not every color looks the exact same on everyone. Personally, a lot of the typical “nudes” looked more brown on me due to my natural berry pigmented lips so the nudes with more pink undertones looked best on me. My number one favorite lip color I found was MAC’s Creamsheen  “Creme Cup” lipstick. The best nude liner I found was MAC’s Pro Longwear Liner in “Cultured”. This nude had a hint of pink but this was, by far, my favorite lip combo and one that I’ll be wearing all year long.

Another nude color I found and loved and MAC was the Creme D’Nude in the MAC Shadescents Collection. This color was definitely the least pinkish of the 4 I chose but I loved how unique it was. After testing out some colors at MAC, I headed over to the Bobbi Brown counter and ultimately ended up taking home the Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color in ‘Pale Mauve’ and the Bobbi Brown Nourishing Lip Color in ‘Almost Pink’.

I can’t wait to sport my new lip colors this fall thanks to Belk! This fall, I encourage you to B.E. yourself, try something new, and B.E. confident.

Our Wedding Day!

SHOP:

I am SO excited to share with you all of the details of our favorite day… June 10th (which is also my grandparent’s anniversary). Having spent a year and a half planning our wedding together, we were beyond ready for the day to finally arrive. The entire weekend was filled with so much love, was more perfect than we imagined, and we just loved reliving the day through these beautiful moments captured by Jake and Heather. Where do I even begin?!

Our Wedding Film:

As seen on Style Me Pretty

When I woke up the morning of our wedding day, I felt the most calm I’d felt in a long time. I had this sense of pure joy and gratitude and I just couldn’t believe how lucky I was to be marrying my favorite person in front of all of our family and friends. Soon after my bridesmaids and I arrived to the beautiful Legare Waring House, I snuck downstairs to peek at the reception being set up under the tent. Seeing the vision we had been putting together in our minds come to life was SO exciting and all I could think about was how I wanted this day to slow down! Even the weather was unseasonably cool (well, no humidity and in the 80’s for Charleston, SC is not normal). The sunshine was out and I was bursting with excitement for everyone to arrive! One of my favorite parts of the day was getting our hair/make-up done with my mom and bridesmaids. I treated each bridesmaid to a comfy robe to get ready in and the prettiest crystal cluster earrings to go perfectly with their bridesmaid dresses. This was actually the first time that I had even seen all of the bridesmaid dresses in person. We decided to do mix-and-match dresses from completely different places in a variety of grey and blue shades and each had it’s own unique details and embellishments. I’ll always vividly remember the moments of getting ready with my girls and listening to 2000’s hip-hop music with Ash & Co.! Everyone just looked SO beautiful.

TJ had a pretty epic morning as well. He was walking around downtown Charleston with one of his groomsmen looking for a place to have brunch and he saw our chocolate lab pup Colberson walking with her petsitter! It made TJ’s morning to see her and we both say that it was a sign for how amazing the rest of the day would be.

TJ and I decided to have a first look for several reasons but mainly so that we would be able to spend more quality time with our guests during cocktail hour instead of taking photos. It was important for us to be able to say hi to everyone who traveled to be there with us and luckily our wedding had an intimate 115 guest count. Everyone always says this but it is true… your wedding day will fly by SO quickly. Before I knew it, I was in my dress and it was time to go see TJ for our first look. As I walked outside to find the guy I fell in love with over 7 years ago standing under a big beautiful oak tree waiting for me, I couldn’t help but just cry tears of happiness. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was, how beautiful it was outside, and seeing him felt like a dream. When I got to the oak tree, I tapped him on the shoulder, and gave him the biggest hug imaginable.

This is one of my most favorite images. Without the videographers watching (I get nervous), I just had to stop and pray. I had never felt so thankful in my life and my biggest hope was for us to remember to slow down, breathe, and soak in ALL of the joy and love that was present and for us to be guided into even greater love from that day forward.

Our ceremony was set in between two long rows of huge oaks trees with long branches that met in the middle to create a canopy of shade for the guests. My bridesmaid, Meredith, who also happens to own Oaks and Gray Paper, designed a beautiful welcome sign for us garnished with greenery that guests were greeted with upon arrival. TJ and I chose a few of our most special songs for the ceremony (we especially love Ed Sheeran’s ‘Tenerife Sea’) and we made sure the ceremony was very “us”, complete with a couple of our favorite readings and our handwritten vows we had written to each other in the days leading up to the wedding. Our guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers after the ceremony overlooking a beautiful lagoon. TJ and I had to somehow include our dog in the wedding so we named our signature cocktail after her… which was a huge hit! We had our guests take mini polaroid photos to insert into our guestbook but ultimately it ended up with our flower girls and ring bearers going around and taking photos of everyone… it was adorable!

Our reception was held on a large patio behind the house underneath a huge white tent. We loved that our venue was basically a blank slate which left us a lot of room for creativity when choosing the design behind it all. Grey-washed long farm tables, soft pink flowers and greenery, a grey wooden dance floor, and white beaded chandeliers filled the space. We went for casual yet classic style with a hint of boho incorporating soft shades of grey and white. We did our first dance to ‘True’ by George Strait, ate the best southern dinner complete with pimento mac and cheese, shrimp and grits, amaretto poppy seed cake, and danced the night away while our phenomenal band, Steel Toe Stiletto, kept the party going.

Advice I would give for anyone else planning their wedding? Invest in what will make your day memorable and enjoyable, not just beautiful on the outside. Don’t stress about the small stuff. Our guests still talk about the band, the food, the unique details like our “Colberson cocktail” named after our dog, the beautiful outdoor setting, and our vows. The chevron wooden bars or chandeliers? Not so much, although, they sure were pretty.  We were also so thankful we had Stephanie Shaul Events there to help make the day run smoothly. Having an experienced planner allowed us to really soak in each moment with each other and with our family/friends! Words can’t even begin to describe how special that weekend was and how loved our family and friends made us feel. Promising your love to your best friend for forever is a feeling that is so surreal… it is simply the best!
