Happy official summer everyone! Is it just me or has it felt like summer for months already? I got back from the mountains yesterday after a fun and interesting weekend in Hot Springs, NC. My family rented a cabin in the middle of nowhere for a cousin’s wedding nearby and it was really cool getting to see so many family members I haven’t seen in years. A bunch of them live in Newport, RI where I used to visit every summer when I was a child. I’m thinking of planning a trip up there sometime soon because it has been too long and it is such a beautiful place.
Anyways, on to this outfit. July 4th is right around the corner and I love planning pretty patriotic outfits for the occasion. Being an NC State grad, my closet isn’t really lacking red clothing but I found this $20 popover dress that has red, white, AND blue in a bright and adorable floral print. A floral print that says ‘Merica is a winner in my book (or closet) and I can’t wait to relax, eat, drink and enjoy the 4th of July in this cool and comfortable popover dress.
