Spring Work Attire

Last Thursday, I attended an event at J. McLaughlin in Chapel Hill that a couple local friends of mine hosted.  I’ve talked about J. McLaughlin before and what I still love about this brand is the quality of their clothing as well as the colors! If you walk inside this store, you’ll see bright pastels and classic, timeless pieces lining the walls that’ll make you feel like you should probably go take a vacation in the Hamptons or somewhere.

There are two things every working woman should own in their closet: a neutral pencil skirt and a high quality top to go with it.  With spring right around the corner, it’s time to say adios to the winter tights, turtlenecks, and boots! Here are some of my favorite pencil skirts for spring:

I hope y’all had a good weekend! I feel like I didn’t get much time to relax at home but it was a good one filled with a lot of family visits AND one of my best friends from high school got engaged! I’m definitely looking forward to some nice weather this week and maybe a little road trip with my sister before I start my new job next week.
xo, Shelby
