Now for some life updates. Don’t get crazy, it hasn’t been too exciting around here!

LIFE (including work) || As for my life lately, everything has been pretty good! As some of you know, I left my job with Invisalign 2 ½ months ago so it’s taken a big adjustment now that I am working for myself. Time just flies so much faster now and every single day counts when it comes to making the most of my time. There still doesn’t seem to be enough time in the day. I’ve learned so much and have taken the time to reflect on where I see this thing going in the future. I still don’t have everything figured out and the learning is (always) never-ending but I have really enjoyed the changes (although, it has been more challenging organization-wise than I thought)!

Outside of work, I’ve been working harder at being more mindful this month such as turning off the TV earlier in the day and reading instead, being more present with my husband whenever I can, and having work-breaks. I start each day (before the day even begins, actually) with a check-list of tasks I need to get done and I’ve been focusing on prioritizing that list, going down one by one, rather than multitasking.

HOME || As for updates on our home, we’ve kindof taken a short break since re-doing our fireplace but we’re about to jump back into our back yard since it’ll be sunny and warmer this weekend. I’ll share the updates on our deck/patio the last week of March and I can’t wait! I’ll finish painting the deck this week (I’ll probably wait until tomorrow when it’ll be in the 60’s) and then TJ will finish the patio this weekend. After we’re done with that, we’ll probably continue to work on the yard before starting on my office.

TRAVEL || We’ve been trying to plan a fun trip for our first year anniversary this year in June but can’t decide where to go. I definitely want to go back to Charleston around that time but I also would love to go somewhere like the Bahamas or Jamaica.

FITNESS/HEALTH || Lately, I have really been loving Tone It Up. They have studio classes (online) where it feels like you’re in a class with them and can sign up for a specific time to attend. The workouts have been very yoga-heavy which is new to me but I’m loving it! I’ve been starting my days with these workouts and they’ve made a big difference. I’ll go into more detail another day!

Anyways, not too many big updates have happened. I’m mainly just trying to adjust to all of the changes still (job/new town/homeownership) while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. By the way, I’ve perfected my morning smoothie bowl recipe – -find it here!

Thanks so much for reading! I think we can all agree that we’re ready for spring and warmer temperatures. The high is in the 40’s today and it makes me want to just stay indoors! I am going to be seeing one of my friends today at a local coffee shop though so I’m excited for that!

xo, Shelby
